For executive search firms and hiring teams

Go-to-market leadership in Brazil for logistics, supply chain technology and freight forwarding

Daniel Maul Lins is a Brazil-based logistics and foreign trade executive with 25 years inside operations, co-founder of the logistics technology company Cargosnap and founder of Achilles Consultoria & Logística. He brings foreign logistics companies and supply chain technology into the Brazilian market: the buyers, the regulation and the ecosystem.

I am open to confidential conversations with executive search firms and with companies building or scaling their go-to-market in Brazil or Latin America, as a full-time executive or as interim leadership while the local team is built.

Detailed CV and references available on request. All conversations are treated as confidential.

Why this profile fits a Brazil go-to-market

I co-founded and scaled a logistics technology company

As co-founder of Cargosnap, a platform for cargo inspection and digital evidence, where I run operations in the Americas, I helped grow it to more than 450 customers, at over 30% a year, with a team of more than 20 people, reporting to the Dutch headquarters. The company received investment from the Port of Rotterdam, was accelerated by Lloyd's and recognised by Gartner, with use cases at Maersk (digital container inspection) and Minerva Foods (protein export chain).

I already represent foreign companies in Brazil

Through Achilles I represent foreign carriers, operators and manufacturers in the Brazilian market without them opening a subsidiary: commercial presence, market intelligence and interface with authorities. That is a go-to-market done from the inside.

I speak the buyer's language

25 years inside operations, from high-scale supply chain at Sadia and Alcoa to infrastructure project cargo at Centurion Shipping, including Vale's S11D. Shippers, terminals, forwarders and NVOCCs buy from people who understand their operation.

Access to the ecosystem, not a cold list

One of the leaders of the Logistics vertical at Cubo Itaú, where I created Terminal Inovação, a shared startup stand at Intermodal South America. Over 100 talks, including a keynote for about 5,000 people at ComexTech 2025.

Regulatory fluency

Brazilian foreign trade runs through Receita Federal, Portal Único, AEO (OEA) certification, Antaq and several approving agencies. I work with them daily, which shortens the time from first customer to first shipment.

Trilingual

Portuguese, English and Spanish, for headquarters reporting and for Latin American expansion.

Roles I am open to

  • Country Manager Brazil

Full P&L responsibility for building and running the Brazilian operation.

  • Head of GTM / Head of Sales, Brazil or LATAM

Market entry, ICP, pipeline, pricing for Brazil and the first local hires.

  • Business Development Director

Strategic accounts, partnerships and channels with forwarders, customs brokers and integrators.

  • Interim or fractional GTM lead

Leading the entry for 6 to 12 months while the permanent team is hired, alongside Achilles.

  • Advisory board

For logistics technology companies evaluating Brazil or Latin America.

Sectors

  • Logistics and supply chain technology (SaaS, visibility, inspection and digital evidence, AI)
  • Freight forwarding and NVOCC
  • Shipping lines, chartering and port or terminal operators
  • Project cargo and heavy lift
  • Trade compliance and AEO

How I would approach the first 90 days

Every market entry is different, but the sequence I would propose is predictable.

Days 1–30

Map and focus

Brazilian market map for the product, ideal customer profile, regulatory checklist and the first 20 target accounts, starting from existing relationships.

Days 31–60

First conversations

Qualified meetings with shippers, terminals and forwarders, partner channel with customs brokers and integrators, pricing and packaging adapted to Brazil (BRL, taxes, contracts).

Days 61–90

First deals and the plan

First pilots or contracts, local brand through stages and content, and a hiring plan and forecast that headquarters can hold me to.

Questions recruiters usually ask

Yes. Daniel Maul Lins is open to full-time go-to-market leadership in Brazil or Latin America, such as Country Manager or Head of GTM, in logistics technology, freight forwarding and shipping, as well as interim or fractional leadership.

That is part of the conversation for each opportunity. For interim or fractional mandates, the work runs alongside Achilles; for a full-time executive role, the arrangement is agreed with the employer upfront, openly.

Brazil as the core market, with Portuguese, English and Spanish for headquarters and Latin American expansion.
